Welcome to my photography website! My name is Carol Swanburg and I am a photographer originally based out of Orlando, FL but now I'm located more in the area of Wellington, FL. I am still occasionally available in Orlando.
My passion for photography began way back when I was in high school up In New Hampshire. I was influenced by my dad who was a photography enthusiast and got me started using his 35mm Minolta film camera.
I took it with me to college where I attended UNH and majored in psychology. I took a photography course there to learn more about composition and how to develop film and had some of my work published in the UNH magazine. Shortly thereafter, digital cameras came along, which made things so much easier! I moved to Orlando, FL in 2006 and purchased my own Canon DSLR camera. I started by taking lots of nature and animal photos and had some of my photos displayed at an event hosted by the Orlando library. I began branching out from nature photography into portraits and then fashion photography! You would find me at lots of fashion shows, especially Park Avenue Fashion Week. I also began shooting events like birthday parties, school dances, and promotional events. I also did some headshots at a corporate event. My favorite individual portraits were those of an Orlando ballet dancer in her Juliet costume, which took me back to my days of ballet classes growing up.
I have a passion for capturing the perfect shot, which means attention to details such as a beautiful but not distracting background, natural lighting, a mixture of close up and more distant shots while capturing some posed and candid 'in the moment" shots that tell a story. It is rewarding for me to capture those beautiful moments in time that will last forever and be passed on to future generations!
I am available to do photo shoots for individual/ family portraits, events, or business promotion in the areas of Wellington, FL and occasionally Orlando, FL. Additionally, I have some of my nature and scenic photos available for sale as canvas prints, prints on metal, or matted/framed for your home or office.
